The Fusion of the Two Organizations

La Maison de l'Europe de Lyon et du Rhone has been combined with the organization l'Europe Direct as of this morning and we are assisting them in going through the materials of La Maison de l'Europe and getting rid of any redundant materials to make space for the materials that we don't have that l'Europe Direct has, and vice versa. I doubt that we (interns) will still be here by the time they finish as we are leaving soon, this Wednesay the 13th. It's a big project, though not academic per say.

The Vote to Unite Organizations

La Maison de l'Europe and L'Europe Direct came together to hold a vote between their two governing bodies as to whether or not they would come together and become one organization under La Maison de L'Europe, thus increasing the role La Maison de l'Europe de Lyon et du Rhone plays in Lyon.

I was involved in signing in the members of the governing council who were to vote in the matter and to make sure that at least a majority of the members were in attendance to vote on the matter. In the end there was not enough members representing the La Maison de l'Europe de Lyon et du Rhone to carry on with the vote, which was upsetting to those in attendance.

However, even though the vote never took place, there was still an amazing buffet that was to be had at the end of the session, and that still took place :) C’était magnifique!
